The purpose of the Universal Maintenance Stand (UMS) is to provide Aircraft field level and depot level Maintainers with the capability to perform a wide variety of aircraft servicing and maintenance tasks on primarily wide body aircraft (Bomber, Cargo, ISR, Command and Control, and Dignitary Support Aircraft)

  

MCT was awarded a contract by the USAF in 1990 to redesign the existing Universal  Maintenance Stand at that time into what we call, “Gen I”.   Then in 2009 MCT was again awarded a contract by the USAF to completely redesign the Gen I  version by using updated  requirements from the end users and UMS maintainers.  MCT significantly improved upon the safety and ease of operation, as well as ease of maintenance for the Gen II.

Both generations are based and deployed worldwide and support all USAF Major Commands.
